Corso Libertà, an example of urban regeneration
Urban time policies of Bolzano deal with the intersection of time and (public) space. The city is the place where inhabitants live their time.
In the last years parts of the city decayed due to the closing of many shops. (For example Corso Libertà). The most important upgrading intervention done by the city Administration has been the new lighting project on the roadside facing the shops.
The Capital city of the Time Use Reform
Prats de Lluçanès became the capital of the Time Use Reform from April 25th until May 1st of 2016 – restaurants started an unprecedented awareness campaign targeted to their clients about healthy time uses. During this week, 8 bars, cafés and restaurants of the municipality promoted the opening hours proposed by the Time Use Reform: breakfast between 7 and 9 a.m., lunch from 12.30 until 2 p.m., and dinner between 7 and 9 p.m. The goal was to raise awareness of citizens about the advantages of having breakfast, lunch and dinner earlier and the effects this could have on a healthier lifestyle.

Sensible opening hours
Currently there are many shops that close at 7 p.m.: Instants Fotografia, Ferreteria l’equip, L’estanc, Graneria Serra, Start bikes (7.30 p.m.).
More compact opening hours for shops
Shops and commercial establishments have compacted opening hours, which helps to advance their closing hour to 7 p.m. This measure was promoted by the Unió de Botiguers i Comerciants de Solsona (Commercial Union of Solsona) together with the municipality.
